Meet Our Founder & CEO: Esosa Osa
Esosa Osa is a visionary leader and strategist committed to building digital power, safety, and resilience for Black communities. As Founder and CEO of Onyx Impact, Esosa sets the organization’s direction, leading efforts to fight digital harm, amplify Black voices, and create healthier online ecosystems. Her leadership is grounded in her experience as Deputy Executive Director of Fair Fight Action, where she led national efforts around voting policy reform and combatting information influence campaigns, managed research, political, organizing and communications teams, and developed strategies to protect democracy and empower marginalized communities.
A native Ohioan and graduate of Duke University, Esosa’s expertise also includes a strong background in finance, where she developed a deep understanding of fiscal and monetary policy, financial freedom, and the tools needed for economic empowerment while at Black Rock and Morgan Stanley. Esosa’s unique blend of policy insight, financial acumen, and unwavering commitment to justice fuels her vision for a future where Black communities are not just protected from digital threats, but are equipped to lead, innovate, and thrive in the digital age.
Meet Our Deputy Executive Director: Kameron Middlebrooks
Kameron Middlebrooks is a respected organizer, coalition builder, and long-time advocate for justice and equity. As Deputy Executive Director at Onyx Impact, Kameron leads strategy, operations, and the execution of key initiatives like the Digital Green Book and Aisha, ensuring the organization’s vision translates into real-world impact. He has a proven record of mobilizing and empowering communities —registering over 15,000 voters with the NAACP, advancing criminal justice reform with REFORM Alliance, and building broad coalitions to drive legislative and policy change.
Kameron’s experience spans political organizing, community impact, and economic empowerment. He has served as Political Director for DeJear for Iowa, Director of Community Impact at the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines, and Chair of the Des Moines Civil and Human Rights Commission. At Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, he worked to expand access to capital and financial freedom for minority businesses, and at the Evelyn K. Davis Center for Working Families, he helped families build wealth and achieve their career goals. Kameron is known for his ability to align programs, partnerships, and people, and is deeply committed to creating healthier, more equitable digital spaces where Black communities can thrive and lead.
